Science applications and societal impact
The Science and Society study will provide evidence that the SKIM mission will make a significant contribution to new science with excellent societal benefits. We are concentrating our efforts on studying issues related to the climate (specifically heat and carbon), polar regions, marine debris and our ability to resolve global ocean currents.
The team consists of:
- Jamie Shutler (carbon and climate; University of Exeter, UK)
- Erik van Sebille (marine debris; Utrecht University, The Netherlands)
- Michel Tsamados (polar; University College London, UK)
- Clement Ubelmann (global currents; CLS, France).
